Softball Earns Split In Doubleheader Battle
NEWARK, NJ- The Scarlet Raiders competed in a doubleheader match up against the Baruch Bearcats, splitting the games with a 7-6 win and a 10-6 loss on April 8th. Rutgers-Newark earned a hard-fought 7-6 victory over Baruch using steady offense and timely execution to hold off a late rally. The Scarlet Raiders jumped out early, plating two runs in the first inning and adding insurance across the middle frames to build a 6-0 advantage through six innings.
