NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The 13th-ranked Christopher Newport baseball team battled tight with the second-ranked University of Lynchburg Hornets (22-3-1) for six innings before a 10-run seventh proved to be the difference in a 16-2 setback at Captains Park on a cool Wednesday afternoon.
