RPI Battles Cortland in a Pair of Pitching Duals
CORTLAND, N.Y. 鈥� The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team split a non-league doubleheader at Cortland this afternoon at Dragon Field, dropping a 1-0 decision before answering with a 1-0 win in eight innings. Cortland pushed across the only run of game one in the bottom of the third and made it stand. RPI threatened early in the top of the first when Evann McDowell reached on an error and Olivia Termi followed with a single through the left side, but Cortland escaped the inning unscathed.
