MEDFORD, Mass. — A seven-goal halftime deficit proved too much for Bates to overcome, as No. 3 Tufts secured a 16–8 NESCAC win Wednesday night at Bello Field. Bates (6-7, 2-6 NESCAC) fell behind early and trailed 9–2 at the break, as Tufts (10-2, 5-2 NESCAC) scored the game’s first three goals and controlled much of the opening half.
