BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Freshman Mercedes Garcia Cid of the Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team was named the Gulf South Conference (GSC) Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning. It marks Garcia Cid's fourth time earning the honor this season. Garcia Cid competed against one of the top teams in the nation this past week, facing No. 2 West Florida on the road.
