Mahjoob Named Big Ten Player of the Week
EVANSTON, Ill. - Cyrus Mahjoob was named Big Ten Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday. Mahjoob helped the 'Cats to a pair of weekend wins over Purdue and then-No. 62 Indiana with two victories apiece in both singles and doubles action. In singles play, Mahjoob provided match point in both victories. On Friday, he clinched Northwestern's 4-0 sweep of Purdue with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles.
