Landon Wierenga named CCIW Field Athlete of the Week
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Landon Wierenga of the Augustana Vikings men’s track and field team has been named the CCIW Field Student-Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. Wierenga earned this honor after his performance at the 81st Viking Olympics this past weekend, where the team came out victorious. The junior posted multiple top conference marks in throwing events, highlighted by a 59.66-meter hammer throw to lead the CCIW and rank fifth nationally.
