Sophomore Kaitlyn Bloomenrader captured first place in the 800-meter run to lead the Wayne State women's track and field team Wednesday afternoon and evening at the South Dakota Snooze Button Invitational held at Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion. Bloomenrader posted a winning time of 2:20.46 in the 800-meter run with teammate Zoey Holmes second at 2:23.34 and Jozlyn Barnes fifth in 2:26.89. Freshman Breylee Botts had a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.57 seconds with Reagan Murphy fourth at 14.91.
