Beard Breaks Record as Lions Win Doubleheader
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men’s tennis team celebrated seniors Nick Beard (Manns Choice, PA/Bedford) and Emmett Hibbs (Richfield, PA/East Juniata) on Wednesday evening, when the Lions posted 7-0 and 5-2 victories over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference rival Mount Aloysius at the Adler Tennis Courts. After winning in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1, in match one of tonight’s home doubleheader against Mount Aloysius, senior Nick Beard became the Lions’ all-time wins leader in singles with 47 wins.
