WTEN: Cowgirls Defeat Cajuns To Extend Winning Streak
LAKE CHARLES鈥擬cNeese women’s tennis extended its winning streak to 14 matches following its 4-3 non-conference win over UL-Lafayette Tuesday to improve to 19-1 overall. The win snapped a four-match losing streak against the Cajuns and its the first win over UL-Lafayette since 2019 when the Cowgirls defeated the Cajuns 4-3 in Lafayette. The 19 wins ties the second most wins in program history. Last season, McNeese also won 19 matches in head coach Sonia Carlson ‘s first year as the Cowgirls head coach.
