Strong effort at the plate not enough as Petrels drop contest
ATLANTA – The Oglethorpe University baseball team fell to Huntingdon College 10-3 Tuesday evening despite a competitive middle stretch and strong individual performances at the plate. The Stormy Petrels tallied seven hits and worked five walks but were unable to overcome an early deficit and a late surge from Huntingdon. Huntingdon struck first and built momentum early, plating five runs in the third inning to put Oglethorpe on its heels.
