Softball Splits Shutouts with F&M
On a day with mostly zeroes on the scoreboard, the Muhlenberg softball team rebounded from an 8-0 loss in the first game to gain a split with a 4-0 shutout of Franklin & Marshall in the nightcap. Each team rode a big inning early – the Diplomats a seven-run second and the Mules a four-run first – and strong starting pitching to its win. It was the first time since 2009 that Muhlenberg split a Centennial Conference doubleheader that consisted of two shutouts.
