Softball falls 1-0 at Providence on Tuesday
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Holy Cross softball team fell to Providence College by a final score of 1-0 on Tuesday, Apr. 7 at Glay Field. Freshman pitcher Bridget Mulkeen went 6.0 innings, allowing one run on two hits. She finished her outing with a strikeout, seven walks, and left eight Friars on base. Freshman catcher Makenzie Crerand went 1-for-3 at the plate and threw out the first baserunner of her collegiate career in the bottom of the second inning, catching Providence's Zoe Krizan attempting to steal second.
