Scarlet Raiders Drop Pair in Doubleheader
NEWARK, NJ- Rutgers-Newark dropped a conference doubleheader match-up to Ramapo on Tuesday afternoon, falling 16-1 and 14-4 in five innings. Despite the final score, the Scarlet Raiders showed early promise, manufacturing their lone run in the second inning. After a scoreless first, Rutgers-Newark broke through, loading the bases and scoring a run from a walk by Kristin Kloss. The Raiders capitalized to take a brief lead, but it would be their only run of the contest.
