Paula Named MIVA Defensive Player of the Week
Romeoville, Ill. - After tying the program record for digs in a match this past weekend, senior libero Nico Paula (Tampa, Fla./Berkeley Preparatory School) was named the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced this morning. Paula becomes the first member of the Flyers this season to win multiple MIVA weekly awards. It marks the 10th weekly award of his career, the most of any active player on the Lewis roster this season. In two matches last week, Paula tallied 26 total digs for an average of 3.71 digs per set.
