Murphy Named GAC Athlete of the Week
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. 鈥� Korban Murphy of the Oklahoma Baptist men's track and field team was named Great American Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. The honor comes after the junior turned in an awesome 800-meter performance over the weekend at Texas State's Bobcat Invitational. During that race, he finished in third place with a time of 1:50.63. That met NCAA outdoor qualifying standards and was the best time in the GAC this season. Murphy and the Bison return to competition on April 10 at OU's John Jacobs Invitational in Norman.
