Central baseball squad splits with Buena Vista
PELLA 鈥� A complete game pitching performances from Brayden Sawyer (senior, Grundy Center) spearheaded the Central College baseball team’s 7-2 win over Buena Vista University Tuesday. Central (12-14, 7-5 American Rivers Conference) lost the first game Tuesday 7-6 but won the series 2-1 after beating Buena Vista (6-20, 2-10 A-R-C) 8-5 last Tuesday in Storm Lake. It’s Central first series win over the Beavers since 2015. Sawyer allowed just two earned runs in his complete game pitching performance. He walked none, struck out three and scattered seven hits.
