This week's South Carolina Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are senior tennis player Hazel Vernon (Plymouth, England) and senior second baseman Jomar Lugo (San Sebastian, P.R.) Vernon led the Wolves to a pair of clutch South Atlantic Conference wins over Anderson (4-2) and UVA Wise (4-1). She teamed with Lina Sarhan at the #1 doubles position to win their doubles match 6-1 against Anderson and 6-4 against UVA Wise.
