Shirah Named American Honorable Mention
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB Softball Senior Ashlyn Shirah was named an Honorable Mention by the American Conference on Monday. The Senior from Slidell, La. hit .600 with four doubles on the week, leading the Blazers' offense to a 3-1 weekend, including UAB's second straight conference series victory. Shirah started the week off with a three-hit performance in the Blazers' 7-3 win over Samford, driving in one run and scoring once.
