Lopez Receives AMCC Player of the Week Honors
Lopez won both doubles and singles in last Monday’s 6-1 victory over non-conference opponent Waynesburg. In doubles, Lopez and partner Nick Beard (Manns Choice, PA/Bedford) triumphed 6-0 over their opponents in No. 1 doubles. In No. 3 singles, Lopez prevailed via a 6-4, 6-3 decision. This is Lopez’s second AMCC Player of the Week award. This season, the sophomore holds a 7-3 record overall, including a 3-1 mark against conference opponents. In doubles, he is 7-4 overall and 3-1 in the AMCC. Penn State Altoona men’s tennis returns to action on Wednesday, April 8, with a 4:30 p.m. home match…
