Ligas Named Empire 8 Player of the Week
Men’s Golf 4/6/2026 4:05:00 PM Oswego, NY – The Empire 8 has announced their weekly awards. The Lakers very own Sam Ligas was selected as the men’s golf player of the week! Ligas was the top finisher among Empire 8 student-athletes at the Spring Thaw Tournament at Shawnee on the Delaware Golf & Resort on Friday and Saturday. He shot a 159 (plus-15) over the two rounds with an 80 on Friday and 79 Saturday. Ligas recorded one birdie on Friday and two Saturday.
