(April 6, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its softball weekly accolades where Howard University saw a pair of Bison acknowledged for their incredible performances over the holiday weekend. The announcement came Monday morning. Freshman Aniyah Whipper (Elk Grove, Calif.) won MEAC Player of the Week while fellow classmate Amirah Lenon (Chandler, Ariz.) received the league's Rookie of the Week. In the season sweep at North Carolina Central (NCCU), Whipper batted .875 with a 2.443 OPS, including a 1.625 slugging percentage.
