Pawleys Island, S.C. – Akron golfer Kaitlin Kormuth fired an opening round 72 (+1) score to lead the Akron Zips scoring at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge on Monday afternoon at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (Par 71 • 6,054 yards). The Zips finished with a 311 (+27) team total as Kormuth led the way with the 1-over par score. Kormuth carded 10 par scores and four birdies en route to a tie for 12 th place on the players’ board.
