Guzman and Ansah-Pena Earned CUNYAC Weekly Honors
Hecnel Guzman was named CUNYAC Player of the Week and DeShawn Ansah-Pena was named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 5, 2026. Guzman led the Lightning to a 2-1 week with sweep of CUNYAC rival John Jay. In three games, the junior batted 300 and belted three home runs. He registered six RBI. In his collegiate debut, Ansah-Pena on Friday, pitched a complete game against John Jay, earning his first and the Lightning's first victory of the season.
