Women's Track & Field 4/6/2026 3:04:00 PM Jeff Weiss, Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Media Relations DETROIT -- Wayne State University graduate student Emily Gordon has been selected GLIAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career (she has twice been Indoor Track Athlete of the Week - once in 2025 and once in 2026). Gordon broke the WSU outdoor 800m record which had stood for seven years by running an NCAA Provisional time of 2:10.72 to take first place at the Oakland Golden Grizzlies Invite.
