Cole Burton Named CCS Pitcher of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. – After a strong weekend on the mound, Belhaven senior Cole Burton has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday. It marks the first career weekly honor for Burton. Burton turned in his best outing of the season in Belhaven’s series against Covenant, helping the No. 19 Blazers secure a series win and improve to 20-8 overall. He worked 7.2 innings, allowing just two runs on four hits while striking out a career-high 10. He also held opposing hitters to a .148 batting average in the outing.…
