Baseball Drops Series Finale to Trine
Designated hitter Nick Verduczo smacked an RBI triple, while pinch-hitter Cade Seabaugh slugged a two-run homer, for the Hope College baseball team during a 9-5 loss at Trine University in the series finale. The season’s second home run for Seabaugh (Ballwin, Missouri / Ladue Horton) followed the fifth-inning, extra-base hit for Verduzco (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Hackett Catholic), pulling the Flying Dutchmen within two runs at 6-4.
