AMHERST, Mass. – The Wesleyan softball team went back out on the road for a Saturday doubleheader at Amherst and the two sides split the twinbill with the Mammoths winning game one 3-0 before the Cardinals answered back with a 6-5 win in game two. Wesleyan improves to 12-9 (4-4 NESCAC) on the season while the Mammoths are 7-9 (3-3 NESCAC). Game one was dominated by Amherst starting pitcher Abby Moravek who went the distance for a complete game two-hitter with 13 strikeouts in the 3-0 win.
