Men鈥檚 Tennis Wins Fourth Straight, Defeats Merrimack 6-1
NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. 鈥� The Marist University men's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Merrimack at Sportsplex New Windsor. Marist opened the match by securing the doubles point with wins on two courts. Senior Nick Suhanitski and junior Thomas Bevan earned a 6-2 victory at No. 1, while graduate student Jose Catala and sophomore Fateh Singh followed with a 6-1 win at No. 3. Sophomore Gregor Heinemann and sophomore Ian Layton led 5-4 at No. 2 before the match went unfinished. The Red Foxes carried that momentum into singles, winning five of six matches.
