Thoroughbreds pick up lopsided sweep of Westfield State
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College baseball team swept visiting Westfield State in a non-league doubleheader at Ferrari Field on Saturday afternoon in a day that Skidmore honored its new facility’s donors. The Thoroughbreds claimed game one, 16-4, before completing the sweep with a 9-2 win in the nightcap. Game 1 – Skidmore 16, Westfield State 4 Skidmore scored in all runs but the first two include a six-spot in the bottom of the seventh inning.
