DETROIT - The IU Indy softball team jumped out to an early lead but couldn't hold off a late surge, falling to Detroit Mercy, 7-6, on Saturday afternoon. The Jaguars struck first in the opening inning when Molly Kable launched a two-run home run to center, giving IU Indy an early 2-0 advantage. The offense continued to produce power throughout the day, as Callie Dickerson , Alexa Holman , and Pallas Dominion each added solo home runs to help build a 6-2 lead through six innings.
