Wingate鈥檚 Lewis Beeden is SAC Men鈥檚 Golfer of the Week recipient
Rock Hill, S.C.—- Wingate University senior Lewis Beeden (London, England) is the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men’s Golfer of the Week, league officials announce Thursday. Beeden receives this honor for the first time this season. Beeden moved into the No. 1 national individual ranking, thanks to his victory at the Tennessee River Rumble March 24. The Rumble title was highlighted by a school-record 63 in the opening round, as he finished 11-under-par to win by three shots and lead No. 5 Wingate to the team title in a field which included No. 1 Grand Valley State.
