UNK Battles Spring Weather in Emporia & Lincoln
Erika Pritchard, UNK Communications Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney track and field teams had 14 top two finishes at the Midwest Classic and the Husker Spring Kickoff this weekend in Kansas and Lincoln. The Classic at Emporia State was moved up and held Thursday and Friday with UNL’s meet shortened to one day and completed on Friday. In Kansas, freshman Luke Brachle (Kearney H.S.) won the high jump by going 7-1.75. That ties him with position coach Brayden Sorensen for second in UNK history and second in D2; runner up Nolan Studley (Hastings H.S.) went 6-11.50 to come in…
