Owls Deliver Win on Senior Day
HOUSTON 鈥� The Rice women's tennis team defeated South Florida 4-1 on Friday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center. The No. 57 Owls improved to 12-6 overall and recorded their seventh home win of the season. Senior Darya Schwartzman was honored prior to the match. In doubles, Divna Ratkovic and Daniela Chica defeated Dharani Niroshan and Loana Vargas 6-3. The duo of Schwartzman and Uma Bakaityte topped Sienna Leeson and Margherita Marcon 6-3 to clinch the doubles point. Francesca Maguina and Ema Mravcova led 4-3 when play was halted.
