No. 4 Salve Regina defeats Wildcats, 11-3
NEWPORT, R.I. – Senior Jack Obert drove in two runs in an 11-3 loss for the JWU (Providence) baseball team to nationally-ranked Salve Regina University Friday afternoon in non-conference action at Reynolds Field. Junior Jeff Valdez Jimenez finished the afternoon 3-for-3 and also picked up an RBI when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the first for the Wildcats (6-13). Sophomore Yedan Diaz picked up two of JWU’s eight hits in a game which featured seven different pitchers for the visitors.
