Grinnell women splits matches against ranked teams at Midwest Invite
MADISON, Wis. – Facing plenty of tough competition in a loaded Midwest Invite field, Grinnell College’s women’s tennis team beat one nationally-ranked squad before losing in the semifinals to another Friday at the Nielsen Tennis Center. Grinnell, ranked 38th nationally, opened the tournament by edging No. 28 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 4-3. Grinnell had to rally against UW-La Crosse after losing the doubles point.
