Fernando Sets URI鈥檚 Record for Doubles Wins
Box Scores DAVIDSON, N.C. – Nikki Fernando became Rhode Island’s all-time leader in doubles victories and added a singles win. Despite her big day, the Rams (10-7, 1-1 Atlantic 10) came up just short in a 4-3 loss at Davidson Friday. Fernando and Kajsa Helgesen defeated Savanna Kollock and Bryson Lagford, 6-4. The win was the 65th doubles win for Fernando, setting a new URI program record. She passed Tristany Leikem, who won 64 doubles matches from 2008-12.
