Elon Battles To Road Win At William & Mary
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. 鈥� In their first meeting since last season’s CAA championship match, the Elon women’s tennis team (12-3) edged William & Mary (12-6) on Friday, winning 4-3 in a dramatic battle at the Mackesy Tennis Center. Alexis Nyborg delivered the winning point for the Phoenix, coming through in a third-set tiebreak on Court 4 to give Elon a 4-2 advantage. Elon won the doubles point and got additional singles victories from Mariana Reding and Cornelia Kack to earn its second CAA road win of the campaign.
