Big Ninth Inning Gives Hofstra Win At Towson
Towson, MD – Hofstra scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to snap a 6-6 tie to pick up a 9-6 victory over Towson Friday at Schuerholz Park. The win evened the CAA series between the team at one game apiece. Gabriel Melara had four hits, including two home runs, and drove in three runs. Hofstra moved to 10-15 overall on the season with a 5-6 record in conference action. Towson dropped to 12-15 overall and 3-11 in the CAA. Leading 6-3 going into the bottom of the eighth, Towson scored three times to tie the game.…
