Baseball Opens Series Against Widener
READING, Pa. – Albright Baseball (11-12-1) played Widener (11-12) at home prior to a four-game road trip. Through nine innings of play, the visiting Pride would take game one of the series 5-2. Widener wasted no time getting their bats going and built a 5-0 lead after three innings before the Lions began to respond after. Chris Gorla drove in the first one for the Lions by way of a hard-hit single past the opposing shortstop to bring home Michael Avino .
