Baseball Loses Opener of NESCAC East Series to Bates
BRUNSWICK, Maine 鈥� The Bates College baseball team took the first of a three-game set with Bowdoin at Pickard Field on Friday afternoon, 5-3. The Bobcats move to 13-3 (2-2 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears fall to 9-9 (2-2 NESCAC). Game Highlights Bates took the early lead on a first inning single but Bowdoin rebounded in the bottom of the frame as Will Cooke delivered a two-run double that gave the hosts a 2-1 edge.
