Baseball Bounces Back, Wins Game Two vs. Spartans
Game one of Friday’s doubleheader got away from Franklin baseball. The Grizzlies made sure it didn’t happen again in game two. Drew Helton’s three-run homer highlighted a six-run sixth inning that helped the Griz secure a 12-6 nightcap victory, an emphatic bounce back after a tough 10-8 defeat in the opener. Franklin (13-10, 4-5 HCAC) scored four runs in the second inning of game two, with Alex Billman hitting a two-run double in between Dyllan Redmon’s bases-loaded walk and an RBI groundout by Josh Girvan .
