WILSON, N.C. – The Barton baseball team (7-22, 5-17) fell to rival Mount Olive (17-17, 10-12), 11-5, Friday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas weekend series opener at Nixon Field. Mount Olive’s Josh Mason (Morehead City, N.C.) hit two home runs while Garrett Moffett (Cary, N.C.) hit a bases-clearing triple as part of a five-run seventh frame as the Trojans used a late game surge to take the win.
