Augustana sweeps titles at 81st Viking Olympics
ROCK ISLAND – The Augustana Vikings track and field teams swept both team titles at the 81st Viking Olympics, with the men scoring 163.5 points to win the 11-team field, while the women delivered a dominant 200-point performance to take first out of 10 teams. Augustana’s men leaned on sprint dominance and a massive showing in the throws to separate themselves from the field. Tyreke Fortney led the way with a standout double, winning both the 100 meters (10.66) and 200 meters (21.76).
