WINSTON-SALEM, NC - In a spirited event, the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams were honored April 2 by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners for their historic basketball season. Commissioner Tonya D. McDaniel, a 2012 WSSU alumna, read a proclamation highlighting the team. She mentioned their 28-4 record, including 13-0 at home, their first ever CIAA Tournament Championship win and their two victories – by 17 and 19 points, respectively – in their debut NCAA DII Tournament.
