Wildcats complete sweep of Sea Dogs, move on to Round 2
The Moncton Wildcats opened defense of their Gilles-Courteau QMJHL Championship with a 4-0 first-round series sweep over the Saint John Sea Dogs. The Cats built up a 7-0 lead into the third period to take down the Sea Dogs 7-3 before 2,500 fans at TD Station Wednesday night. Preston Lounsbury led the offense with two goals and an assist, Teddy Mutryn delivered a key shorthanded goal and a pair of helpers and defenseman Tommy Bleyl logged three assists.
