Wheelchair Basketball Wins Opening Match at NWBA Collegiate National Championships
Tucson, Ariz. 鈥� The Edinboro wheelchair basketball team won their first game at the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Intercollegiate National Championships 64-44 over Missouri. The score was tied 6-6 early in the first quarter when the Scots went on a 10-1 run capped by a James Pollard bucket with 2:01 left in the opening quarter. Missouri cut the lead to 18-11 with 1:05 to play, before Dakari Moore and Pollard made buckets to push the Edinboro lead to 22-11 after one.
