Calallen boys, girls capture district golf championships
The Calallen girls and boys golf teams swept the team titles at the District 31-4A golf tournament Wednesday. The Calallen boys claimed the district championship with a two-day score of 720 behind individual medalist Gage Hirschfield, who turned in rounds of 74 and 72 for a 146. Jorge Cantu added a 167, A.J. Briseno carded a 185 and C.J. Quitugua posted a 190. Tyler O鈥橞rien contributed a 181 for the Wildcats. On the girls side, Calallen secured the team title with a team score of 803.
