WILSON, N.C. 鈥� The Barton softball team (17-23) swept a non-conference doubleheader from Winston-Salem State (5-13), 2-0 and 8-2, Thursday afternoon at Jeffries Field. Game One 鈥� Barton 2, Winston-Salem State 0 Barton sophomore Emily Bobo (Mount Ephraim, N.J.) (8-10) threw her second consecutive shutout, allowing just one hit while striking out 12 batters in the victory. Barton freshman pinch hitter Chaleigh Currin (Stem, N.C.) provided the lone offense of the contest, hitting a two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie.
