2025-26 ACADEMIC ALL-MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RELEASE CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University of Akron women's basketball earned a quartet of selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2026 Women's Basketball Academic All-MAC Team on Thursday, April 2. In all, 49 student-athletes from 13 conference institutions were honored including seniors Liisa Taponen (Tampere, Finland) and Maddie Vejsicky (New Concord, Ohio), junior Ella Wigal (Granville, Ohio) and sophomore Liz Murphy (Yackandandah, Australia).
